Ball cartridge nr.7 (Scherpe patroon no.7 (Marga)):
Introduction:
The ball cartridge nr.7 is a round for short range practice with the M.95 rifle. The ball cartridge nr.7 was also called the "Marga" after the Belgium inventor of the bullet. A special spring was needed in the rifle for the proper functioning of the bolt mechanism. The ball cartridge nr.7 has the same cartridge case as the ball cartridge nr.1S, with a short (14mm) black roundnosed bullet made of a mix of celluloid and grafite (cellulodine).
When a cartridge case was re-used as a ball cartridge nr.7 the case was marked with an extra "+" on the headstamp.
